About Me
I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunty, a niece, a cousin, and a friend.
I currently call Brisbane home, having lived in this beautiful city since 2019. My life has spanned numerous towns and cities, and I feel fortunate to have spent my first 25 years enjoying the life of a country girl—‘laying my hat’ in various small, medium, and large country towns throughout NSW.
In my mid-20s, I followed the well-trodden path of many young Aussies, embarking on a two-year adventure in the UK. I lived and worked in London while independently backpacking across as much of Western Europe as I could afford. Upon returning in my late 20s, I continued my transition into city life, spending several years in Sydney before relocating to Melbourne with my partner (now husband). Melbourne holds a special place in our hearts—it was where we navigated the throes of moving in together, building friendships as a couple, getting married, having children, and buying our first house. During those 10 years, navigating change was a constant!
Each place I’ve called home represents a chapter in my life’s narrative, exposing me to diverse experiences. The people who have walked beside me—whether for a short time or a lifetime—along with my travel adventures and career journey, have shaped the person I am today.
My Professional Journey
My career development and experiences have predominately been made through working within large corporations. I began in Finance after completing a Business degree (Accounting/Economics) and earning my Chartered Accountant qualification working within a Taxation Advisory firm in country NSW. Moving to London required me to pivot into what was then called Management Accounting and upon returning to Australia continued along this workstream. Throughout my finance career, I worked with a number of large corporations and across many parts of the business including, Corporate Finance, Internal Audit, Marketing, IT, Operations and Logistics.
During these 15 years in Finance roles, I had the privilege of working with incredible people and gaining invaluable opportunities. I will be forever grateful! However, I won’t shy away from admitting that much of this time—and adulthood in general—came with significant personal challenges. One of the most transformative milestones of my early 30s was discovering the guidance and support of a Life Coach and Counsellor. This experience ignited my passion for personal development, leading me to complete a Certificate IV in Coaching and Counselling in 2007.
In my late 30s, I sought a career change and successfully transitioned into Human Resources as a Case Manager. This specialised HR role allowed me to refine my expertise in working with people, particularly in guiding managers through complex workplace situations. My work involved providing HR advice and support to leaders but also required me leading misconduct investigations into bullying and sexual harassment, supporting the management of underperforming employees, and navigating long-term medical processes. I have also represented my employer in Fair Work Australia - Unfair Dismissal Conciliations, worked closely with internal Health, Safety and Wellbeing teams, Chief Risk Office and Legal to ensure I am working within policy, process and legal precedence.
While HR policies and processes provide a strong framework to support both employees and businesses, managing complex cases requires more than just technical expertise. When people are under pressure, experiencing stress or anxiety, effective case management demands empathy, patience, and the ability to hold space for others.
A New Chapter: Emotional Safety & Resilience Consulting
Over my 13+ years as an HR Case Manager, I gained a deeper understanding of the prevalence of mental health challenges in the workplace—the personal impact on individuals and the ripple effects on their colleagues and teams. This insight led me to pursue a new path, one focused on supporting employees from a different angle. In early 2025, I completed my Diploma of Counselling.
And so, 'All Things Butterfly Pty Ltd' was born in 2025.
The name All Things Butterfly represents the powerful arc of transformation. A butterfly isn’t born in its final form—it evolves through stages of growth, challenge, and renewal. In my work, I help people navigate their own transformations, whether that means healing, rediscovering purpose, or stepping into the next version of themselves.
The butterfly is a reminder that change is not only possible—it’s a natural, courageous part of life.
Now accredited as a Level 1 Counsellor, I bring passion, empathy, and a wealth of life and career experience to my business. My approach to counselling focuses on a person’s internal strengths and resourcefulness rather than their weaknesses or problems.
As an Emotional Safety & Resilience Consultant to your business, my service offering can support you to successfully meet the enhanced psychosocial hazard requirements and empower your employees to thrive. If the support you require is independent from your employer, our work together can better enable you to move towards the life you desire.
